Zséman

This is a stop motion film made by Hanna Carlson, Milán Kopasz, Maja Szakadát and Nadja Andrasev as our fifth semester project at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. The dialogue in this film has no actual meaning, it is self-created gibberish.

King of the Cats

King of the Cats (1984) is a short film adapted from the children's book of the same name by Paul Galdone, published in 1980. It tells the story of a gravedigger and a strange encounter he has at a cemetery, which he describes to his wife and their cat.

The Cowboy's Flute

A young boy who likes to play the flute dreams that he has lost his water buffalo.

Polska Warrior

The small boy Eryk does the household and takes swimming lessons just to please his demanding father. The only way to break out is to be as courageous as his giant avatar Polska Warrior in the computer game Goldhunter.

Tadufeu

A pack of Cromags obtains fire without knowing how to reproduce it. The Neandert family are cold. The father sees some smoke far off and decides to go there.

Heads Together

Three friends with different cultural origins find an abandoned washing machine while playing. To their shock, they find out that the washing machine has strange powers: their heads are swapped by sticking them in the washing machine. When it turns out their heads can't be swapped back, they must go back home with each other's heads. Because their households have very different habits and traditions, they end up in awkard situations. Through these situations, they learn a lot of new things about each other.

The Girl from the Other Side

Touch not the Outsiders, lest ye become an Outsider. But when two creatures belonging to opposite kinds - a lost little girl from the Inside and a demonic beast-looking Outsider - initiate an impossible coexistence on the same side of the forest, their bond seems to transcend their incompatible natures and the unnamed curse that has divided the world.

Six Coups

An interesting assembly of people decides to play a deadly game of greed for a suitcase full of money.

Urbanissimo

A comic allegory in which a runaway "city" on legs matches wits with a wily farmer. A farmer has an encounter with a runaway "city" (which devours its environs). He deserts his rural home for the imagined joys of urban life.

Bibi

Eight-year old Bibi is chosen to represent her clan in a tournament for Viking warriors. When she eats a lollipop she is able to see the world as candy and she uses her power to make it through the challenges. But will she be able to defeat the terrible Arfur, chief of the Bear clan?

MAN

An animated short film looking at man's relationship with the natural world.

Her Mother's Daughters

An older woman sits before a telephone in an empty house. Her daughters have flown the nest. As she prepares to phone them, their memory is brought back to life

A man in a wheelchair finds himself pursued by a policeman on a motorbike.

The people of the volcano Chimborazo hike for hours to gather nearby ice. This age-old tradition and the population’s livelihood is threatened by increasing climate change.

Mite

In a hotel hallway, the camera plunges into the microcosm of the hotel corridor carpet. Between crystal structures and inhabitants of this world, we see an American house dust mite at work.
